📝 HISD Grading & Report Cards

✅ 6-week grading periods — report cards go home 6 times a year
✅ Academic Subjects (100-point scale):

🔹 90–100: Excellent

🔹 80–89: Good; above average

🔹 75–79: Satisfactory; average

🔹 70–74: Passing; below average

🔹 Below 70: Unsatisfactory; failing

✅ Conduct Grades:

E = Excellent

S = Satisfactory

P = Poor; below average

U = Unsatisfactory 📬

Midpoint reports are sent home every 3 weeks.

🎓 State & local assessments, along with classroom grades, determine promotion to the next grade.

📅 Attendance matters! Too many absences can affect promotion status.
